Hi, I’m Latonia, welcome to my site. Soul-O-Travels.com is the result of my adventures and experiences exploring the world as a solo, female traveler. My travels have taken me to more than 30 countries across all seven continents since I started my “solo sojourns” in 2016. I am particularly intrigued by destinations that are considered “off the beaten path” and I love engaging in different cultures and mingling with the locals at each destination.
This site is dedicated to documenting my exploits in a photo journal format accompanied by written commentary. The photos elicit fond memories for me and I am told have made my family and friends feel as though they were there with me. The commentary is how I “drop knowledge” and share information on the countries and peoples I have been so fortunate to meet. I have learned a lot about myself over the past few years as a result of my travels and I wholeheartedly recommend that people step out of their comfort zones and visit different places as a means of expanding their horizons, as well.
This site was created with several goals in mind: to inspire others to travel the world; to dispel many of the myths that have been perpetrated about certain locations; and, to encourage people to explore the world for themselves and form their own opinions about other countries.
I am hopeful that this site will particularly embolden solo female travelers who haven’t quite worked up the nerve to venture out on their own yet. I pray the travel tips, advice, encouragement and photos you find on these pages will provide all the impetus you need to get out and get exploring.
